At the heart of 3408 Belva, innovation takes root. What started as a vision of blending luxury with sustainability has blossomed into a living, breathing reality; one that celebrates the harmony between architecture and nature.
In
partnership with the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) ; a Kenyan government organization; and Eco-Green Landscapes Technology India (ELT India), our team at Belva Homes are redefining what sustainable living can look like in the modern world. Together, we’re exploring how thoughtful design, scientific innovation, and environmental consciousness can come together to create homes that are both beautiful and alive.
Recently, during an intensive hands-on training in India, Team Belva and Team KEFRI were immersed in the intricate process of plant propagation; the very foundation of the biophilic vertical garden that will soon grace the walls of 3408 Belva.
The journey begins with mother plants; strong, adaptable, and carefully selected for their resilience.
From these mothers, precise cuttings are taken and nurtured under controlled conditions, using soilless media from start to finish; from rooting to growth, and finally to harvesting. Each stage of this process is a delicate balance of science and care, ensuring that the plants grow healthier, develop stronger roots, and are perfectly primed for transplanting onto the vertical garden at 3408 Belva.
But this is more than just horticulture. It’s a milestone in modern living, a collaboration rooted in research, innovation, and sustainability. Every plant cultivated through this journey carries a purpose; to not only beautify the building but to also purify the air, create a cooler microclimate, and bring a sense of peace and connection to every resident who calls 3408 Belva home.
Soon, the green façade will stand as a living symbol of what can happen when design dares to go beyond the ordinary; when buildings don’t just house people but also nurture life.
At 3408 Belva, we’re cultivating more than plants.
We’re cultivating the future of green living; one rooted in innovation, sustained by nature, and designed for the generations to come.
